We are proud to introduce the first microphone produced by FAB in partnership with Talaiot Audio Factory. The FAB 67 uses the same circuit as the original U67 on a custom designed circuit board. Each microphone contains the finest available components including Mundorf capacitors and an EF806s tube, a low noise version of the EF86. Each one is tested before assembly to guarantee the best sound performance. We have chosen, what we believe is one of the best capsules available, which is a direct replacement of the original Neumann K-67. This is custom made by Eric Heiserman in the USA. The transformer is the FAB BV12 using a custom designed 4 chamber bobbin and the original winding configuration with the finest laminations. These two important components along with the valve give the 67 it’s unique character and smooth sound With 14dB pad, HP filter and polar pattern selector to choose between omni, cardiod and figure of eight. Microphone comes as a complete system including: FAB 67 Microphone, dual voltage power supply, 7-Pin Gotham cable assembly with gold Neutrik connectors, and a Shock Mount all packed into a strong plastic waterproof carry case. The FAB 67 is built to a no compromise standard and is as close in sound as possible to an original 67.
